The image is inscribed : the Superintendent of the Archaeological Survey Burma Mandalay has kindly supplied a reading and translation of the two Burmese inscriptions at the instance of the Director-General of Archaeology in India to whom estampages of the inscription were sent by the Curator Patna Museum. [...] The image of the sage who bears a lotus brought and presented by the King of China (Nanchao ?) on the 1st waning of the month of Vaisakha in the year of the Burmese Era 1151 (i. [...] " The English translation of it is as follows :- "The image of the sage who bears a lotus brought and presented by the King of China (Nanchao ?) on the 1st waning of the month of Vaisakha in the year of the Burmese Era 1151 (i.e. [...] In the beginning of the 2nd Tabakat Aziz-Ulla says that the period of rule of the Bahamani Sultans whose capital was Bidar began on the 5th Shawwal 825 A. H. This may well be accepted as the date of accession to the throne of Ahmad Shah I and the date of abdication of the throne of his predcessor Firuz Shah. [...] The latest date 24 of 'Ala-ud-Din ijaan the first Bahamani Sultan and the earliest one of his son and successor Muhammad Shah I as furnished by their coins happens to be 760 A. H. Therefore the dates 759 A. H. and 761 A. H. for the last year of rule of 'AN-ud-Din as given by Ferishta and the author of the Tazkarat-ul-Multik have to be rejected's.
