These Committees of the Poor who comprised the ruffians and the dregs of the rural population were encouraged by the Central Soviet Goverment to dispossess and ruin the prosperous peasantry. [...] The chief objects specially held in view in this Grammar are (I) the presenttion of the facts of the language primarily as they show themselves in use in the literture and only secondarily as they are laid down by the Indian Grammarians (2) the inclusion of tip forms and constructions of the older language as exhibited in the Veda and the Bralfmana (3) the treatment of the language throug [...] He became the first President of the American Philological Association (1869) and was Knight of the Royal Russian Order Corresponding Member of the Imperial Russian Academy of Sciences of the Institute of France and of the Royal Prussian Academy of Sciences Foreign Member of the Royal Academy Die Maui of Rome. [...] This humanitarian enterprise arises out of the clear consciousness and realisation that democracy in the fullest connotation of the term cannot possibly be established unless the people are able to take an intelligent part in the discussion of the affairs of their own country and areJikewise able to contribute to and strengthen the colleetive determination for the achievement of the nation's ideal [...] The fundamental difficult in the solution of a problem of any kind becomes greatly complicated in the case of labour due to the fact that any change in the condition of labour affects the capitalistic institutions in which the employer is vitally interested.
