Nevertheless there are questions which the citizens of British India have to solve even though a paternal government tells them that they need not trouble themselves with these questions As in England the mending or the ending of the House of Lords the Home Rule for Ireland -the 'hours of labour the women's franchise are the political questions of the day ; so in India the expansion of the [...] But if both sides of the questions are not equally supported in the meetings of the citizens it does not necessarily-follow that in the meetings of the students the same would be the case. [...] If the fee income continues to decline and if the rate of growth of the school population continues to dimiHsh it may become necessary to consider the expediency of restoring the old School-fee Notification and of reducing the stringency of the existing conditions of recognition. [...] G. N Taylor who gathered round him in the service of the Inam Commission some of the best of the old High School proficients—men who have since left their mark in the history of British administration in the Madras Presdency When the business of the Commission was over he reverted to the Judicial Department in the capacity of a Sub-Judge. [...] In prosperous Hindu families Fotune is generally credited to the chief lady of the household One can easily understand the force of the belief when one remembers that it is the unwearied toil and patience of the mistress of the household her constancy under all trials and her cheering smiles that contribute more than all wealth can do to the happiness of the family.
