of 1882] the Senate of the Punjab University subject to the cofirmation of the Chancellor may grant to any person the Honorary Degree of Doctor in the Oriental Faculty and the Faculties of Arts and Law. [...] A proposal was accordingly submitted to the Punjab Government that the latter should move with a view to procuring for the University the power of granting Honorary Degrees in the Faculty of Science and also of conferring the Honorary Degree of Master in each of the above-named Faculties. [...] The systematised efforts now being made to advance the study of child-nature by the establisment of societies and laboratories for the investigation of chilpsychology are hopeful indications of the possibility of a further development of the scientific side of education and consequent. [...] The latter certificate must in the case of pupil-teachers who have already worked as such for one or more years be signed both by the principal teacher of the school in which they have served and by the correspondent on behalf of the Managers ; (b) to teach throughout the year to the satisfaction of the Inspector ; (c) to give to the Inspector's satisfaction a lesson selected by him out of thr [...] The foregoing conditions having been satisfied— (d) to pass in the following subjects at the High School Examination— (1) at the close of the first year—in Arithmetic History and Geography ; - (2) at the close of the second year—in English Algebra and Euclid ; (3) at the close of the third year—in a Second Language and in School Management and the Art of Teaching.
