The report is commanding the best attention of the Government both in the provinces and at the centre and it is having the rather unique distinction in this country of realising some of its proposals being carried into effect before they become obsolete by the efflux of time. [...] The further action that the Government contemplates taking in this matter by the appointment of a commission of foriegn experts to suggest a suitable scheme for the reorganisation of secondary education therefore fails to evoke an optimistic response: Secondly there is also the consideration that the mere production of the technically efficient men may not solve the problem of the educated ue [...] To face the plaform from the obscurity of a seat in the audience is one thing ; to face the audience from the exposed solitude of the platform is quite another.
