To import the tactics of the industrial world into the temples of learning and to stir up feelings of bitterness illw ill and animosity between the teachers and the taught and undermine all discipline so essential for the growth of the young is a catastrophe which should without any further delay be prevented from spreading its influence. [...] The feeling that the youth have been made victims in an unholy cause and that Universities and colleges exist not for the good of the students but for secuing employment to teachers and the other members of the staff has become quite common. [...] It behoves people interested in the educational progress of the country to have a strong grip of the -fundamentals of the Wardha Scheme and point out the lines on which it can be adapted to our immediate needs It must be admitted that our costomary weakness has been to fly into a fury at the first intimation of any 'radical change but cool down when the time comes to grapple with the details of i [...] This would facilitate the shift system for elementary schools in the earlier stage and considerably reduce the cost of education as it cannot at all be self-supporting at this stage and leave the stripling under the salutary influences of the home environment for a major portion of the day. [...] If the cooling and the heating of the beakers be commenced at the same moment at what time will the temperatures be equal?
