And the highest service of art-culture is the development of the sense of order balance continuity rhythm and other qualities that are summed up in the term Beauty qualities that reveal to the mind the wonder of the universal life and purify and dignify the soul with the mystery and joy of participation in the divine process of perpetual creation. [...] In fine they are not the " Window dresser " or the "Showman " they are sincere workers who have the clearest notions and the closest grasp of the objectives methods and the practical implications of the Activity principle in education an ideal that will be the beacon light of the school of the future and this sense of practicability and a dynamic view of life are nowhere so prominent as in the c [...] In maing the mother tongue the foundation of all teaching in the emphasis on cultural and social unity of the people of India in the teaching of history in starting the study of geography and natural sciences from the study of the immediate enviroments of the child we discover the same attempt to knit as closely as possible edcation with the wealth of experience in the community life a [...] Then there is the problem of premture withdrawl from the schools that is one of the major causes of the wastage of public money and the time and energy of the pupil. [...] In Britian the universities co-opertion with the Worker's Educational Assciation manifests this desire to extend the influence of the university but in.'fact the result has been not to extend the influence of the university but to extend the teacing of the university.
