It is true that there are differences of dialects in the different parts of the province but such diferences exist in the case of all provincial languages and even there the uniform method of primary education adopted in the Bombay Presidency for nearly the last 75 years has set in motion a process of levelling down to such an extent that the language of the educated Gujaratis whether residing [...] This portion of Gujarat happens to be the most valable tract of the mainland of Gujarat and it enjoys the agold reputation of being a great granary of the country.
