The issue of an estimated number of bulls or the attainment on'the ferm of a record output of milk is too often considered in itself a satisfactory achievement \while it is apt to be fogotten that the Cows must be good doers and able to make the most of village food in village oonditions that the supply of bulls is only the Bret step in cattle..imprOvement. [...] Records of breeding and of the progeny are not kept and the method used to mosure controlled breeding the elimination of the sevices a inferior bulls and the concetration of superior stock are in pratice most inadequate. [...] The average length from the point of the shoulder to the root of the tail and the height from the ground to the withers are 34 in. [...] Period of maturity in gram Most of the types of gram whether early or late have been found in this province to occupy the land for five and a half to six months ii. own in the beginning of October provided the environment presents optimum conditions for the growth and welfare of the grain plants.
