The revolt of the Bombay Congress against Mararji voicing the views of the merchants' chambers both on the issue of the withdrawal of food subsidy and the impsition of Multi-Point Sales Tax showed which way the Party would swing as against the Government. [...] The working conditions salaries and emolument of journalists largly fall within the sphere of the work of the Labour Ministry and a sense of proportion must be maintained in integrating an inquiry into the working condtions of the journalists with the general purpose of the Commision." Among the reported terms of reference for the Comission the service condition of the working jour [...] Subsequent to the merger of the State with the Indian Union the Devaswom Board was constituted and the control and management of the temples were entrusted to this body.
