As we have pointed out in the earlier articles in this series the functions and powers allotted to the Union Centre are so restricted and the independence given to the Provinces and Groups is so unlimited that the economic and political ties between them will only be of the loosest kind. [...] According to Section 126 the executive authority of every province shall be so exercised as not to impede or prejudice the exercise of the executive authority of the Federation and the executive authority of the Federation shall extend to the giving of such directions to a province as may appear to the Federal Government to be necessary for that purpose. [...] It is stated in the provincial Post-war Reconstruction Reports that with the copletion of the Thal Project in the Punjab and the Sarda Canal Project in the U. P. the surface flow of the rivers in the two provinces would have been utilized fully and that further development of irrigation would be posible only by constructing huge dams across the rivers in catchment areas involving a heavy ca [...] T. the appointment of a Taxation Enquiry Committee the evolving of a system of Central Grants to Provinces the Demonetisation Measures the Banking Bill the Decimal Coinage and last but not the least the latest Loan Conversion. [...] All the American citizens who have been in the course of the war scattered over the four corners of the globe have cultivated a desire to revisit all the coutries of Europe and the Far East.
