United States of Indonesia YET another important landmark in the history of the liberation of the Asiatic countries from colonial rule will be established when as a result of the succesful conclusion of the Round Table Conference at the Hague last week the United States of Indonesia is iaugurated before the end of the current year. [...] India's active part in initiating the complaint to the Security Council and the closure of her air routes to the Dutch on the occasion of the first 'police' action and the convening of the Delhi Conference on Indonesia last January which made a significant contribution to the subsequent peaceful solution of the Indonesian issue were the outstanding manifestations of this feeling of kinship and i [...] The constitution of the United States of Indonesia and the general principles governing the transfer of power and future relations with Holland proceed in the main on the lines of the Linggadjati Agreement of the 15th November 1946.
