The latest of the many pronouncements on the Persian oil crisis which is the report to the stocholders by Sir William Fraser Chairman of the AnglIranian Oil Company enables the impartial and iterested outsider to estimate the measure of the loss which the policies of the National Front have inflicted on the country. [...] December 14 1951: The Perils of Planning DURING the last few months in which the Report of the Planning Commission has been before the public the keynote of the criticism of its proposals has been the perfunctory character of the industrial plan. [...] Actually the long-term trend of the times all the world over has been to upset parity prices in favour of the primary sector which steadily adds to the cost of industry while the numerous and inevitable upsets of the transition period have had the effect all over the world of adding to the investors' sensitiveness. [...] Ideed at the moment one of the reasons for the power shortage in Bombay State is the unwillingness of the local Government to assure to the pioneering entrpreneurs concessions analogous to those granted rcently by the Government of India to the oil refineries. [...] RAU FOR THE WORLD COURT. Except for the deadlock over the election to the seat in the Security Council to be vacated by Yugoslavia the General Assembly has gone through the elections to the Security Council and the International Court of Justice as arranged earlier.
