It would be of interest to mention here the difference obtained in the amount of vitamin A potency calculated by the two methods namely (i) basing the estimate on the total hydrocarbon pigments present (ii) separately estimating all the pigments present and basing the estimate of vitamin A potency on the biological activity of consttuent members. [...] The difference in the titre values between the experimental and the control is a measure of the edzyme activity. [...] The results of chemical analyses have been used as checks for the results obtained by the spectrograph and the statistical method is employed to determine the precision of the results obtained.' Technique The spark technique which has been used consistently in the experiments has been standardized at the following values. [...] (c) Lay-outs and blocks relating to advertisements should reach the Editor before the 25th of the month preceding the month of publication of the journal. [...] The aril of the seed of this plant is a delicacy and is exquisitely flavoured; the rind of the fruit contains tannins.
