And as a matter of fact the Commercial Law Committee of the Manchester Chamber of Commerce under the presidency of Sir Percy Woodhouse moved recently in the matter and gave it a practical scope by resolving that they would invite some eminent authority to address them upon the subject to furnish effective guidance for undertaking the task. [...] By way of illustrating the above statement the learned lecturer observed thus : that the Bills of Exchange Act 1882 the Partnership Act 1890 and the Sale of Goods Act 1913 contained a codification of the law to which they referred.
