[...] Hornell replying to the question on behalf of Government admitted that the question was of the utmost importance but he said that it was a very difficult one at the same time and they must wait for the report of the Female Education Committee he further added that the Calcutta public must also face the problem and co-operate with the Government. [...] Sir Ashutosh Mukejee who congrred the titles on the students said that the notable event of the year was the introduction of Prakrita and Pali in the curriculum of Sanskrit studies.
