The following is the full text of the resoltions adopted at the meeting :- (I) This meeting of the primary teachers of Bombay is heartily thankful to the Corporation and the Schools Committee for taking up the question of revising their scales of pay but begs to request that in revising the scales of salaries the costly living and enervating climate of Bombay should be taken into consideratio [...] The boys may at their option sit for the E. S. L. C. Examination of Ceylon at the end of the fourth form which is paralel to the eighth or the top most standard of of the Elementary School or for the Junior Local Examination of Cambridge at the end of the fifth year. [...] Justice jwala Prasad moved that the Senate accepts the scheme of central teaching in the University area and at the same time recommends that in certain respects which do not affect the initial plan of the buildings the scheme should be so developed as to permit of variations from the strict unitary system on the lines indicated in paragraphs r to 12 of the Proceedings of the Committee. [...] Therefore the Government it hich is the trustee of the education of the people of the province had been naturally anxious to utilise the recommendtions and therefore had desired the opinion of the University. [...] Srinarayan Sahay wanted at this stage the permission of the Senate to move an amendment the notice of which could not be given according to the rule 14 days earlier from the date of the meeting on account of the late receipt of the notice.
