The Nagari Prachari-i Sabha of Benares is doing good and useful work in the propagation of Nagari script and the enriching of the Hindi Literature. [...] In reviewing the report on the progress of education in Bihar and Orissa during the last official year (1 912-13) the Lieutenant-Governor observes that the first year of the new Province was one of unusual activity in the sphere of edcation. [...] The scheme for the development and enlargment of the Training College at Bankipore has been settled and steps have been taken to commence the building and to prvide the equipment and establishment necessary for the enlarged institution. [...] The Lieutenant-Governor in Council hopes that the measure adopted by the Director of Public Instruction will have the effect of overcoming the reluctance to undergo the course of training which has been observed among some of the Government vernacular training schools are in progress and all the schools are now at work. [...] AT the special meeting of the Senate held at the Senate House Calcutta on the 15th November 1913 the syndicate recommended :- That a Congratulatory Address he presented..ifs Excellency the Viceroy and Chancellor of the University on the occasion of his forthcoming visit t(: Calcutta.
