The alarming state of the country and the bolness of the agitators determined the Government of India to introduce special le: -islation to The Seditious ►ieetings Bill. [...] to 000 for the apprhension of the miscreant; but tip to the time of going to press he has succeeded in eluding the viglance of the police. [...] In spite of the suggestions of the maps I do not believe that there is any connection between the To ko tso and the Pam tso the latter lying to the south and about ninety feet lower. [...] On the next clay we had to cross frozen passes in a heavy fall of snow so that the arrival of Shi-shi in the middle of the afternoon was the more mirculous. [...] To cross this required great care and indeed some courage for in the middle of the transit of this antique suspension bridge the chains began to swing from side to side and up and down producing a feeling of insecurity which was increased by the sight of the river rushing below.
