The response witsailso due to the spade work done by the Progress of Educatioin during the last two years and to the bonds of Otsonal attiol ment created between many a school-master and the writer of this note as an editor of the journal. [...] They had thought that that would be the thin end of the wedge to cleave the harrier that prevents co-operation of official and nonofficial workers in the cause of education and the nonacceptance of the invitation by Mr. [...] Even the administration of secondary schools required to be overhauled and the Department of Public Instruction Bombay could usefully adopt the grantin.aid and provident fund regulations of U. P. or the new regulations adopted by the University of Calcutta re the constitution of the managing committees of secondary schools in Bengal. [...] The Session was then closed with a formal vote of thanks to the Chairman and the members of the Reception Committee to the Superintendents of N. E. School and N. M.. [...] The seats for boys the blacboard the book-shelf for the class-library the books themselves maps charts wall-pictures each and every one of these requires the closest possible attention on the part of the teacher or the headmaster.
