[...] The work before us is the 4th edition of the most popular commentary on the Indian Penal Code by the learned editors of ' The Bombay Law Reporter.' The main feature of this edition is the incorporation for the first time of a very large number of English Cases. [...] This is the only work in the field containing cases reported up to the end of the year 1906 in all the authorised and private series of Reports. [...] The Criminal Law enacments of the Local Legislatures have been published as supplements in separate small volumes which together with the Manual under review cover the whole field of the statutory Criminal Law of the land. [...] One special feature of the Digest is the addition of two Tables of Cases one based on the usual alphabetical system and the other indicating the serial number and paging of the volumes wherein the cases are reported.
