It was resolved in the meeting that prizes are to be awarded for the best contributions both English and Bengali and for the best Drawings to be published and printed in the magazine. [...] and recommended by the Syndicate of the Calcutta University the author of the book even in the latest edition of 1928 writes of some more wonderful things :— It is a wonderful thing that the 'Turkish Empire' still exists and includes Mesopotamia Syria etc. [...] In the evening I went to the top of the Nandan hill to see the wonderful beauty of the sunset. [...] It is the statue of the great philanthropist David Hare who came to this laud as a watch-maker but having seen the dearth of education among the people of Bengal devoted himself to the cause of education. [...] Mr David had a plot of land in Pataldanga ; he gave it to the public for the purpose of the Sanskrit College and the Hindu College.
