[...] His reputation as an erudite historian and a man of letters has not only spread throughout the length and breadth of India but it has crossed the limits of the country and travelled over the regions abroad. [...] Thus we have physics—the science of prperties and inter-relations of matter and energy chemistry—the science of the elements and their laws of combination and behaviour under various conditions and the like." The benefits that we derive in every sphere of life from science know no bounds.
