1928

Our next greeting therefore we reserve till the short cold days of winter."r 4 1 In the first flush of joy at seeing the light of the day it will not do to forget the throes of birth. [...] It is to the end of the creation of this vitalising atmosphere that the magazine will direct its efforts We are glad to put it on record here that the first decisive step in this direction was taken when the Students' Association of the first three classes was formed in March last. [...] After the death of Aurangzeb the Sikhs had taken advantage of the disorder of the time and raised the standard of rebellion. [...] But the invasion of Ahmed Saha Abdali the Amir of Kabul put a stop to the aggrandisment of the Sikhs on the west Of the Sutlej. [...] After this Ranjit did nct interfere with the territories on the east of the Sutlej."[ 12 ] He helped Zaman Saha the ruler of Kabul at the time of his coquering the Punjab and got possession of Lahore in 1760.
