(7) Provision of a soil extension service the objective being to provide on the basis of soil analysis advice to the growers as regards the best use of the land and the nature of fertilzers needed by it. [...] The announcement said that at the next meeting of the council at the end of November there will be a resolution proposing that the Council ask the United Nations to call an International Sugar Conference in the Spring of 1953. [...] The Central Advisory Council discussed at great length the question of finance for the rehabilitation and modernisation of industries and also the question of the location of new industries. [...] The size the type of the work and the manner in which the works in the above indutrial undertakings were being carried out was not much inferior to what we say in U. S. A. I nowhere else found the industrial labour putting in so much of work and that also with greatest of good will and co-operation with the management. [...] At one of the factories we found that autmatic oiling in the mills and mill engines has reduced the consumption of oil to 50% and at the same time the codition of the bearing and other parts of the engines rceiving automatic lubrication was found better during over hauling.
