Dorsal fin placed in the posterior two fifths of the body some distance behind the root of the ventral.. [...].Fins.—Origin of dorsal slightly in advance of the ventral and nearer the root of the caudal than the snout. [...] Colours clouded with brown along the back lighter on the abdomen; the whole of the lxidy dotted over with lines of black spots ; a black mark at the top of the base of the caudal Six to eight rows of spots along the dorsal fin and about ten sinuous and broken up lines of spots on the caudal. [...] Eyes —in the middle of the length of the head two diameters from the end of the snout and the same distance apart. [...] Ryes—slightly behind the middle of the length of the head.
