The story of fortunes made by British merchants in Burma the penetration of the East India Company from their factories at Surat and Madras into Burmese soil the insolence of trading corporation the "just" wars over trifling causes to further the trade and flag whenever permitted by a lull in the confusions in India the rights of the 'oil' and other 'interests' in Burma—form not a very gloriou [...] These are the results of the system of "organised capitalism " the triumph of democracy the result of the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie. [...] The conclusion from such analyses is this : The working class of the U. S. S. R. having overthrown the power of the capitalists is by its creative work demonstrating to the millions of workers in the capitalist countries and to the oppressed colonial peoples the advantages of a socialist economic system which excludes the possibility of crises in contrast to capitalism which produces crises. [...] The investigation of the woking of private industrial assurance shows that on an average only 48% of the premiums collected are returned to the insured and the profits are excessively high." State management can eliminate the huge waste arising from the expenses of administration the payment of directors commission to agents the cost of collecting premiums the expense of advertising and [...] Now that Mahatma Gandhi the sole representative of the Indian Ration has gone to the Round Table Conference to demand on behalf of the dumb millions the substance of freedom which is the dream of every true Indian let us hope that the dawn of a new era is at hand in which the rights of the poor and benighted masses will be reconised and a sound scheme of social insurance will be introduced
