To some foreign observers the poltical demands of the Indian people are the rsults of a sinister propaganda the fruit of an agitation which has been carried on with the ostensible object of establishing Swaraj which to them is nothing but the overthrow of law and order arid the regime of anarchy consequent noon the severance of the British connection. [...] And this division of Bengal will not only satisfy the two communties but will set at rest the inequitous and silly attempts at compromise by a reservation of seats in the Council or a division in the sevices allowing to the proportion of the adherents of the two great religions The Bengali Hidus and the Bengali Mussalmans will merely accept an accomplished fact and the principles of reci [...] Whether the rest of the world including India would accept in full the present political and social organisation of Russia is uncertain : but there can be no doubt that the world is determined to see that the real voice of the toiling millions of men and women is made effective in the governments on the earth. [...] The Leagee Secretariat has been busy with the Mandates Commission the Meeting of the 74th session of the Council the Bureau of the Disarmament Conference the Conference of Government Delegates to examine the Draft Convention on Educatonal Films etc. [...] The Indian community in Tanganyika does not at all like the idea of a postal and customs-union with the British East African Possessions the question of the appointment to the Tanganyika Legislative Council of non-British residents was also exmined this raised a delicate problem namely "Will the noBritish Members of the Tangnyika Council be obliged to take the oath of allegiance to the
