The Public Reception offered on the evening of 5th DThe Public cember Sunday to Reception the new Archbishop of Bombay by the Catholics of the Archdiocese was a great success. [...] The deficiencies and improvements offer the Almighty our prayers that Your Grace may be blessed with health and strength to bear the onerous charge which has been placed upon you and that in the course of your episcopate the Archidiocese may prosper and flourish for the greater glory of God and the Church. [...] Not the atmosphere alone the darness the company the silent or epressed approbation of the auditrium but the very nature of the show and the psychological make-up of the young spectators are contribuing factors. [...] The theory of the survival of the fittest gave a fillip to imperialism in the nineteenth cetury and is still the source of modern racism and its attendant evils. [...] But the Congress also considered the gneral problem of the.education of the Catholic student in the various types of Universities five sessions being dvoted to the following topics: (1) the religious and philosophic formation of the student; (2) the humanistic fo-mation of the student; (3) professioal studies; (4) social work; (5) Ctholic Associations at the Universties.
