In the case of payment of revenue in cash by a chalan the duty of the officer of the Collector is only to check the name and number of the tauzi and of its separate accounts if any but not the name of the proprietor and the amount of revenue payable. [...] 37 of Act XI of 1859 is not liable for the unpaid balance of the costs of the preparation of a record of rights of the estate which had been apportioned on the patnidars of the estate before the auction purchase and the annulment of the under tenures. [...] for the recovery of land revenue by the sale of the estate in case of Mode of recovery default in the payment of the same by the proprietor of revenue duthereof. [...] arrears of revenue from the defaulters which were termed as the customary modes of demand and coercion." The procedure for the recovery of revenue consisted of the attachment of the defaulter's properties and confinennt of his person usually ending with the restoration of the estate. [...] relative to the demand of arrears of revenue and to the conduct of the sales of land for the recovery of the same.
