The history of the NEnjri Station is given in detail in last year's report The main object of the Farm is to afford facilities: for the investigation of questions relating to sugarcane growing. e. g. the kind and quantities of manures to use ; what is the best and cheapest artificial manures to add to farmyard manure and cake; quantity of water necessary and best way of applying it by irrigati [...] In order to study the effects of different quantities of the concentrated manures " in _addition to the farmyard manure four series of experiments were arranged. [...] The comparison of the working expenses per day of the Power Crusher on the one hand and the Seven Bullock Mills on the other is very interestine and instructive. [...] From the experience of this year it has been found that the automatic feeder and the juice pump are the necessary adjuncts of a Power Crusher and therefore the following comparison is made with the assumption that both the feeder and pump are provided. [...] It may be argued that the quality of the gul will largely depend on (1) the skill of the gul-makers (2) the variety of cane (3) the season.
