APPENDIX A. Statement showing the number of students joined at the beginning of the session and remained at the end of it and the results of the examinations. [...] 5. In July 1922 a conference of the Agriculture Industries and Coperative Departments of this Government was held under the presidency of the Hon'ble Minister in Charge which I attended and submitted the report of the sub-committee appointed to consider the policy of cattle improvement in Bengal. [...] In the Nadia district where the highest number of deaths occurred the spread of the disease was due to the influx of unprotected animals from the flood area in the Rajshahi district. [...] The Assistants and Inspectors attended most of the fairs and helped in the judging of animals for the distribution of prizes and whenever possible gave necessary advice to the raiyats regarding veterinary matters. [...] Five new posts of Veterinary Assistants were filled up during the year—one at Hatiya in the Noakhali district another at Gopalganj in the district of Faridpur the third at Satkania in the district of Chittagong the fourth at Jhargram in the district of Midnapore and the fifth at Dimla in the Rangpur district.
