The Report of the Vice-Chancellor Aligarh Muslim University For the Calendar Year 1943. Read at the Convocation held on the 22nd of December 1943

The Government of India have also sanctioned the admission of the Exaniinatic Muslim Girls High School Aligarh and the Muslim WOmen's College Aligarh to the privileges of the University for purposes of sending up candidates for the High School Examination and the B A„ B. Sc. [...] the introduction of the study of Geology is one ( f the pressing needs of the community and is likely to open new avenues of employment for the students of the University in the Geological Survey of India and the mining organisations of the country. [...] The Chairmen of the Departments of Sunni and Shia Theology report that the results of the examinations in compulsory as well as advanced Theology have been satisfactory but the number of students in the advanced Theology Classes has declined. [...] The new ministry which was elected;and installed in the molith of Vebruary 1943; put up its own camp on the occasion of the last session of the All-India Muslim League held in Delhi and the members of the Union rendered valuable service as volunteers. [...] All these visitors carried away a fine impression of the behaviour of our students the general standard of discipline nraintained by us and of the war efforts of the University References have been made in this as well as preceding reports to the war services of the University.
