GIITABOTAINI (Registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860) Report on the working of the Society during the year ending 31st December 1952 The members of the Executive Committee In presenting to you the Annual Report on the working of the Society during the year 1952 for your adoption I beg to point out that the report has been compiled department-wise so as to give you clear idea of [...] All these go to show that the management is alive tcl the necessity of providing better teaching by strengthening the staff as also of providing additional school accommodation in the absence of which the progress of the Institution was very much handicapped in the past. [...] The fund has been of great service to the members of the staff and is undoubtedly an achievement in the history of Musical Institutions of Bengal if not of the whole of India. [...] 1380/- SARASWAT I PUJAH During the Poojah celebration held on 31-1-1952 jointly by all the students of the two school departments of the Gitabitan Society the stdents of Sangit-Bharati gave a 2 hours' programme of classical music in the spacious hall of the School premises. [...] The high light of the function was the presentation of an address of welcome to the Chief Guest of the function along with a nicely decorated Tanpura" in token of love and admiration of the students and staff of Sangit-Bharati.
