The Tilbury and Britannia we have thoughts of sending to the Negrais to fetch away the Company's Servants and Effects only leaving a few people there merely to keep possession and at the same time to bring Us what timber & plank may be ready and the Winchelsea and Prince of Wales are to Cruise with the Queenborough & Revenge until! the proper season for dispatching them with the Tilbury Britannia [...] Vetch the Commander dyed shortly and there being no person on board capable of taking the Command a Master was put in as part of her Cargo consisted of Grain We have landed it here and taken it for the Company the rest of the Cargo shall be sold for the benefit of the Owners the produce paid into Cash; and we will grant a Bill on your Honr. [...] MAY IT PLEASE YOUR EXCELLENCY AND 'GENTLEMEN You have doubtless been particularly informed of the Large Force which the French landed on this Coast the last Year under the Command of Lieutnant General Lally and of several Military Operations on their part and ours till the setting in of the last Rains that season of the year having obliged the Kings squadron to leave this Coast as well to avo [...] As an encouragement to you to exert yourself in the faithfull discharge i of the Trust hereby reposed in you we do promise you a gratuity or Comnusion of five Cent on the amount of the Invoice of the Cargo so to be puchased by you to be paid on the Delivery thereof at this Port.
