In the matter of initiating the work of the scheme and the resu!ts so far achieved the co-operation offered by the Bengal Chamber of Commerce the Bengal National Chamber of Commerce the Indian Chamber of Commerce and the Muslim Chamber of Commerce as well as that by the different business houses has been very 'valuable for which opportunity is now taken to record the sincere thanks of the Univer [...] The latest advices regarding the operation of this scheme were communicated to the Chamber in December by the Secretary to the Appointments and information Board who explained that the constitution of the Board is still the subject of correspondence between the Unversity Authorities and the Local Government. [...] The Committee of the Chamber have carefully considered the subject and they have no hesitation in commending the scheme for the sympathetic considesation of the members of the Chamber. [...] 2. The Committee have been requested by the University to bring this scheme to the notice of the members of the Chamber and to persuade them to etend all possible help to the students of the University who will be recommended by the Appointments and Information Board established for this purpose to learn the technicalities of commerce industry and trade. [...] The Committee have no hesitation in commending the scheme for the sympathetic considertion of the members of the Chamber who they hope would give every possible assistance to the University for the successful working of this well-merited scheme drawn up by the Vice-Chancellor.26 3.
