The greater part of the mala area lots been already plotted. The plotting of the remaining area of the l'am will be taken up at the end of the current monsoon. [...] The transplanting of rice seedlings in the mala area was begun in the second week of July and finished in the fourth week of that month. [...] The results of the experiment regarding the varieties of sugarcane under cultivation will he available for the next report. [...] In spite of the fact that the people are industrious the backward condition of agriculture in the District is evident. [...] This may be traced to the foils wing causes :- One of the causes of the backwardness of agriculture is the miserable condition of cattle.
