Annual Administration Report of the Madras Civil Veterinary Department for the Year 1938-39

The supplementary examinations for the provisionally promoted students of the 1st year class and the failed final year students were held from the 7th to the 12th October 1938 excluding Sunday the 9th with the following results :- Number Number appeared. [...] Sri M. Sundaranathan Lecturer was in charge of the athletic activities of the College during the year with the Principal as the President and ten students forming the Sports Committee. [...] The association arranged for the excursion of the students of the College to three places during the year. [...] Owing to an attack of Rinderpest in one of the bulls the services of all the bulls had to be suspended for about a month during the year resulting in a possible decrease in the number of services for the year. [...] A revision in the scale of daily rations was effected during the year with a view to make the feed value more balanced than before ; but the increased consumption of one of the cereals resulted in the supplying contractor's refusal to comply with the indents as he considered the quantity far in excess of that advertised as the probable requirement of the year.
