In order to study the effects of different quantities of the " concentrated manures " in :addition to the farmyard manure four series of experiments were arranged. [...] The amount of water specified in the table below was given to the first 3 plots at an interval of I) to 11 days between two successive watel jug In the CaNO of the 4th plot the interval was 10 days and in the °Hi it was 18 days. [...] The comparison of the working expenses per day of the Power Crusher on the one hand and the Seven Bullock Mills on the other is very interesting and instructive. [...] It may be argued that the quality of the gul will largely depend on (1) the skill of the gul-makers (2) the variety of cane (3) the season. [...] The treacle in the gul drains down the block and is absorbod to a certain extent by the porous earthy bottom of the mould.
