The present Catalogue contains a concise description of the larger part of the Persian Manuscripts preserved in the library of the Asiatic Society of Bengal namely those belonging to the scalled Society's collection. [...] the country of origin may be inferred from the date if it is given in the form of the year of the reign of a particular prince. [...] of the Asiatic Society of Bengali are nothing but the library which once belonged to Tips the naw \\a-al) of Mysore and which in 1799 as the result of the conquest of that province became the property of the British Government. [...] 4 A Catalogue of the Arabic Persian and Hindustany Manuscripts of the lihrries of the King of Oudh. [...] The rarer of them are : 1. Two versions of the Nasab-nama a versified history of the - Qutb-Shahs from the origin of the dynasty till about 10o0/1592 (Nos: 690-691).
