It will however require time and careful organisation to complete the scheme and at the same time carry on the day to day work of the two divisions but we have in the Managers of Longai and Chandkhira two able and experienced planters in whom we have the greatest confidence and we know Mr. [...] I desire to accord on behalf of the Board their grateful thanks to the European and Indian Staffs for the efficient manner in which they have conducted the affairs of the two estates and for their care of the welfare of the Company's labour force. [...] Subject to the foregoing we have obtained all the information and explanations which lo the best of our knowledge and belief were necesmry for the purposes of the audit. [...] The above Balance Sheet and annexed T?rolit & Loss and Appropriation Accounts which are in agrealut with the books of account and returns from India give in our opinion and to the best of our information and according to the explanations given to us the information required by the Companies Act 1948 in t i5.0Mta:AQ required and give a true and fair view of the state of the Company's affairs a [...] for the following purposes :— To receive and pass the Directors' Report and Accounts for the year ended 31st December 1949 To elect a Director To fix Auditors' remuneration and to transact the ordinary business of the Company.
